Nilfisk A/S Marmorvej 8 DK-2100 Copenhagen Ø Denmark T: +45 43 23 81 00 www.nilfisk.com CVR: 62572213 POP Declaration Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs) are organic substances known for their persistence in the environment, accumulation in living organisms, and potential risks to both human health and the ecosystem. These pollutants can traverse international boundaries through air, water, or migratory species, reaching regions where they have never been manufactured or utilized. Globally, the regulation of POPs is overseen by the Stockholm Convention and the Aarhus Protocol. In the European Union, these international agreements are enforced through the Persistent Organic Pollutants (POP) Regulation 2019/1021/EU, which became effective in July 2019, replacing the prior Regulation 2004/850/EC. This comprehensive regulation is designed to safeguard human health and the environment, featuring specific control measures such as the prohibition and strict restriction of substances outlined in the Stockholm Convention. Nilfisk supports the UN 2030 Agenda and is committed to impacting Sustainable Development Goal 3.9 by working on restricting or substituting the use of hazardous chemicals in order to enhance the protection of human health and the environment. To best of our knowledge Nilfisk products are in compliance with the POPs Regulations and its amendments and do not contain any substance subject to it.
